Email-post using HTML, doesn't recognise tags

This post via html email gets the text in, but the tags aren't recognised. Amazing but true! <a href="http://tinyurl.com/2nvcv">Evan Williams</a> posted this script for <b>Front-end edits for blogger</b>. The very thing I wished for has materialised!
